Flu Vaccination Service
Now more than ever it is vital to get your seasonal influenza vaccine. Not only for yourself, but also for the wider community too. At Rimmington’s Health we’re here to help you be prepared for the upcoming influenza season. We’ve got everything you need for colds and coughs and sore throats too.
Our pharmacy offers FREE vaccinations to people aged 12 and over as well as those who fall into certain categories including older adults, those with chronic conditions, and pregnant women. The FREE vaccines are funded by the NHS in selected pharmacies across England and Wales.
The need for the flu jab
Getting vaccinated against the influenza virus can protect you from catching the illness and feeling unwell. However, if you’re unsure whether to get the vaccine or why you should get it, these benefits might help convince you to go ahead with it.

Who can have the FREE NHS flu vaccine?
If you meet any of these criteria, you’re likely to qualify for a free flu vaccine, which is offered at across our branches.
- are 50 and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2022)
- have certain health conditions
- are pregnant
- are in long-stay residential care
- receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
- live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
- frontline health or social care workers
Our staff will check your eligibility for the free flu vaccination during your consultation.
